I work with individuals, leaders, and executives across Wales and online.
 

BriefCoaching® is psychological coaching grounded in brief therapeutic approaches and real life. It's direct, action-focused work over a short timeframe, typically over 3-6 months.
 

Sessions are structured around what needs to change, identifying what's in the way, and taking clear action between sessions. This is not open-ended discussion. It's focused work with psychological insight.
 

Nothing is generic. Nothing is theoretical for its own sake. Everything is grounded in psychology and in what actually works in real life.

Why people come:
 

People come because they want honesty. They need it and value it, and it's in short supply elsewhere.
 

They're typically stuck with something important:
 

  • Performance blocks — imposter feelings, self-doubt, patterns that hold you back

  • Behaviour change — health, habits, discipline, consistency

  • Life changes — relationship issues, major decisions, finding clarity

  • Career transitions — next steps, changing direction, taking on new roles

  • Leadership challenges — handling pressure, difficult decisions, managing conflict
     

The work focuses on what genuinely helps you move forward.
 

The questions we work with:
 

Early in the coaching, I'll typically ask questions such as:
 

What do you want?
Why do you want it?
Why now?
Where are you now in relation to this?
What difference would achieving this make?
How important is this to you?
How committed are you to doing what it takes, even if it's uncomfortable?
How do you handle setbacks? How do you handle success?


We also look directly at how you usually get your own way in life, which strategies are no longer serving you well, and how you may be undermining yourself through avoidance, delay, over-thinking, or misplaced hope.
 

From this, we identify a small number of actions you already know you need to take but have been avoiding. We then choose one action that is most likely to create momentum elsewhere.
 

We work on one priority at a time, and only where you are prepared to act.
 

How it works:
 

Complete the application form. I read every application personally. If it looks like I can help, I'll be in touch by email within 48 hours to arrange an initial consultation.
 

The initial consultation is where we clarify what you want to change and whether we're the right fit to work together. We discuss what you're facing, how I would approach it, and you decide whether my approach suits how you work.
 

If we both agree to proceed, we confirm next steps and schedule sessions.
 

What to expect:
 

Sessions are challenging. I'll say what you need to hear, not what is most comfortable to hear. You'll get straight feedback and clear direction. You'll be expected to work between sessions.
 

I care about you and take you seriously. I'll show this by telling you what you need to change, not what is most comfortable to hear. I'll support you fully and stay focused on what genuinely helps you move forward.

This approach works if you value clear thinking and want to take action, not superficial reassurance.
 

Fees:
 

Fees are discussed as part of the initial consultation, once it's clear what you want help with and whether we are the right fit to work together.
 

Language:
 

I work in English or Welsh.
 

Confidentiality:
 

All enquiries and work are treated as confidential.
